BTTA is a non-profit organisation open to membership by anyone of good character who wishes to participate in or further the sport of Table Tennis. Competitive fixtures and non-competitive social play are provided together with coaching for Seniors and Juniors.

BTTA is affiliated through Table Tennis Queensland and Table Tennis Australia with the International Table Tennis Federation.

Close to the city and in parklands, BTTA owns and operates a purpose built table tennis centre that has 21 ITTF approved Stiga tables for normal activities. This can be configured to 10 international sizes courts.

There is undercover parking, canteen facilities, air conditioned players lounge and a seminar room. It is serviced by public transport.  Medical facilities are nearby.
